Prelude by Yann Novak
'Prelude: San Marino' originated as a site-specific performance commissioned by HomeLA to be presented in a private residence in San Marino, CA. The piece is based from a field recording captured in the back yard of the residence and was performed from the hearth. The performance was intended to create a space where the sounds of the outside and the visitor to the home can commingle during the opening of the event.
'San Marino' appears here as a composite of the three performance from HomeLA: San Marino and is intended for home listening.
