Volume II by the Man from Atlantis
Vol II follows the recent experimental electric, psych release 'Tainted (the lockdown years 2020 - 2022’, and is a return to a more ‘traditional’ song form.
Vol II is the 'follow up' to the celebrated 2021 psych folk release Vol 1 and continues to mine the depths of the human experience.
While there are several ‘downer’ tracks and moments of introspection, Vol II is essentially an outsider folk recording and meditation on love and hope drawing on psych folk, cosmic country, blues and psychedelia.
The bulk of this recording was written and recorded during Melbourne's 2020 - 2022 Covid lockdown with drum tracks added by Finnish drum maestro Simo Laihonen, TMFA former Ray of Creation bandmate and High Pass Filter drummer Larry De Zoeta, and bass by Italian upright bass player and improvisor Tommaso Rolando.
