Khabat Abas is an experimental cello improviser from Iraqi Kurdistan.
Khabat mostly plays prepared cello with various material to extend the sound and visual aspect of her cello. Some preparation strategy leads to a permanent change in her cello i.e. The Skinny Cello, which is a mixture of daf, the middle east percussion instrument, and western cello.
