And I feel I'm pretty grown but these days they're still counting. I've made friends with the other guys around and most weekends he spends working on that farm with those same guys in that town. That's why he's busy saving up all that money gonna buy himself some food, clothes, and a car. Then he'll drive himself up here. It was my idea, seems kinda selfish, yeah we live real far, but luckily we got letters and the US postal service.

Since this is the happiest I've ever felt, guess I'll stare off into the distance. Contemplating how I'll never feel this way again maybe nothing remotely close to it. I mean how happy was I really? Spent waiting for the enviable to be miserable again. And I know its nothing its all just the expectation of having friends, but luckily we've got letters and the US postal service

I only hope that the workers appreciate the drawings on the envelopes, well how come they don't when they show up crumpled from transport. And I only hope.

While I sit here complaining about my letters, someone's hitchhiking up to Hubbardston, yeah. In their bag is the words to get to their friends 100 miles away. Wonder if they did school to the end or if that's what they're worrying about up the highway. And does it mean I don’t care enough about my friends ‘cause I just can’t get out of bed today? But luckily we got letters and the US postal service.

In their apartment all their things laid out. It's like walking into a stranger's home. It's a little bit strange to see their life may be a lot more than what you know. A baby's scribbled drawing taped to the kitchen cabinet and it's hanging just high enough so that she can appreciate it, but luckily we got letters and the US postal service!
