“Melt ICE” is a Mutual Aid Compilation album featuring 100+ Minnesota musicians against the occupation of federal agents terrorizing our communities and ripping families apart. We strongly condemn the actions of ICE and Border Patrol agents in our home state.
The project has been uploaded to Bandcamp in order to maximize profits, which will be donated to MNTogether, an initiative that supports Minnesotans impacted by Operation Metro Surge. The MNTogether mutual aid fund is organized by the Lyndale Congregational United Church of Christ in partnership with MARCH, a collective of multifaith leaders working to direct funds to community members in need of food, rent assistance, and hygiene items.
Operation Metro Surge, “the largest immigration enforcement operation ever carried out,” (DHS) began in December 2025. Its violent escalation in Minnesota is marked by the murders of innocent legal observers Renee Good and Alex Pretti, as well as the forceful detainment and mistreatment of many other community members, including U.S. Citizens, legal immigrants and peaceful observers.
We believe in the collective power of songwriters, producers and performers to use our voices as best we know how. We are excited and honored to present “Melt ICE”, a collection of music from our rich, diverse and talented music scene here in Minnesota. Please enjoy these tracks which include unreleased songs, demos and live recordings.
We hope you will support this project. We have priced the compilation album at $10, but encourage you to donate more if you are able.
We love our community. Thank you for supporting this project and our neighbors in crisis. We are proud to be Minnesotans.
Best,
Organizers Anna Devine, Ryan Kemp & Jonny Fuller
