Shell by Federica Deiana

Federica Deiana returns for her fourth release on Home Normal with the open and heartfelt 'Shell'. After the evolving piano and synth-based electronic-ambient music of 'Faith', 'Tempest', and 'Fragments', 'Shell' ties these works together to highlight Federica's skilled composition and melodicism perfectly.

Having recently graduated from the University of Cagliari, Federica is now utilising her studies in music composition to such a degree that the great promoter of independent Italian music, Mirco Salvadori, recently wrote a four-page article about Federica's music in the longstanding Rockerilla Magazine.

Having quietly established herself as a unique voice in the populated field of neoclassical and electronic composition, 'Shell' truly marks her out as a composer of spirit and soul, with an organic nature in the subtleties of her music. From close-miked, gorgeously textured piano works to the incredible synth tones that open up on the final track, 'Aurora', this is an EP of youthful optimism and hope at a time when we all need it.

'Shell' marks the final digital EP for Home Normal before her first physical release in 2026, and we can't wait.
