Lunar / Requiem by marucoporoporo

Aichi based musician marucoporoporo releases a new two track single, presenting a refined expression of her quietly powerful musical language. The single revisits two pieces from different periods of her creative path, reimagined with renewed clarity and depth.
Lunar originating from sessions around her debut era, is centered on a piano performance by a close friend and emotions from a time before definition. Newly rerecorded vocals and restructured arrangements bring the piece to completion, unfolding through progressive atmospheric synthesizers.
Requiem originally composed during the making of her album Conceive the Sea, reflects on the death of someone close and the quiet dialogue that follows. Through voice and texture, the song explores acceptance, partial understanding, and the unexpected comfort found in remembering another’s words and actions.
