Voar Bòcan is a two-piece band from Scotland with influences rooted in doom metal, drone metal, drone noise, & post-metal. Their full-length, which was self-released in March, has the thoughtful pacing of sophisticated atmospheric black metal composition with buzzy, beautiful passages that nod at the best parts of post-metal & drone. While this duo is brand new to the scene, the musical awareness behind these four tracks is extremely promising, & the straddling of multiple genres has a ton to offer.
