Thank you first and foremost and always to my beautiful family. To my mom and dad for raising
me, loving me, sharing all kinds of music with me, and for always giving me space to be myself.
To my sisters for always being there to talk to, about the good and the bad. I cherish you both.
To my Charlotte and Teddy, your Auntie loves you so much. To Jack for being an exceptional
partner on and off the road, your hard work and love can’t be matched. To John James Tourville
for producing a second record for me. For not sweating it when I was still sending you voice
memos when we were ten days out from recording in Memphis. Your passion and knowledge for
music and your empathy toward all people truly makes you the perfect producer, and a
wonderful friend. I appreciate you pushing me outside the lines for a few of these songs, or else
they never would have happened. To Matt Ross-Spang for welcoming us into his heavenly
studio, for his endless hours of mastery, and for the candy cigarettes. To Raelynn Janicke for
mastering this record beautifully. To Jake Davis for setting up a cozy space for me to record a
couple vocals in Nashville. To this band; my guys Jack Quiggins and Alex Lyon, it is always a
pleasure to get to record with you and play these songs for you in Nashville while I’m still
working through them. To James Woodall on steel, to Al Gamble for all kinds of keys and
harmonica, and to sweet Steve Potts for keeping excellent time. To the horn trio: Marc Franklin, Art Edmaiston, and Kirk Smothers, it was such a treat to watch y’all work. To my family at New West Records for once again giving me the freedom to make the kind of record I wanted, and for supporting me while I repeatedly step out of my comfort zone. The more I learn about this business the more grateful I am to have somehow landed in the company of such high integrity. To my management team at Lightnin’ Management, Ellie Newman, Sam Seifert and Jacob Pierce for their endless time, work and encouragement since the day we started working together. It is a joy to have you three as teammates in all areas of our work. Thank you to Tommy Alexander and Paige Maloney for keeping me on the road, and bringing me to so many cities and audiences I’d likely never have the pleasure of seeing. To Taylor Rushing for his lettering for the front and back cover for now our third record collaboration, and to Matt Etgen for the layout of the interior. To Beth Brinker for her creative direction for our cover shoot, for being a blast to work with and exceptional at what she does. To Brittney Head for nailing hair and makeup for the cover shoot, and to Emilia Paré for her stunning photography. And last but not least, to Edna for being a good dog. She did a great job interning at Southern Grooves in Memphis and is waiting for Ross-Spang to reach out with a full time opening.
