Love Star by Tiny Reptiles
TINY REPTILES was the solo project of Scott Patalano (Scott P.) of Mistle Thrush, The Stuffings, Seven Year Locust, and more.
While I was getting into the UK psyche folk, Scott was channeling Nikki Sudden and Lee Hazlewood.
An early Bluesanct catalogue describes the tape as "like a country version of Labradford, sparse ballads and sparse landscapes. Only available as a trade per request of the band" Not very accurate, looking back... but, I meant well.
I was originally going to release this EP in 1996, but for some reason I've forgotten, it didn't happen.
"Love Star" was recorded between the two Tiny Reptiles full-lengths, "The Boychild Century Sings" (1996) and "Mars Alice (1997).
