Pyrola Sands by A Rainbow Please

I am more than happy to share my debut album with you!
The title Pyrola Sands refers to a place on an island close to where I grew up.

The twelve songs take you on a trip into abstract poetic images, searching, loving, missing, swimming, burning, sleeping, waking up in banana mountains, finding mysterious stones, singing dunes, invisible roads and the apocalyptic end written in the stars.

The subtle song compositions can be placed in the field of experimental pop with influences from jazz, bossa nova and psychedelic noise rock.
It oscillates between distorted repetitive moments and the beauty of simplicity to complex harmonic structures inspired by J.S. Bach.

Thanks to all the wonderful people around me who inspired me to write these songs and helped me to put them finally out. Luuv to ya all!

I am Rica Pinu, a Berlin-based musician, composer-performer and into the world of shaking eardrums.
In my artistic work I explore interdisciplinary forms of art and I have realized works in the field of music, interactive performance, theatre, dance, film and installations.

I also do dj-sets as Dada Giardini, radical sonic experiences with Getöseföhn and play songs with A Rainbow Please.
