Outpost 11 is the unigue one-man project from Moscow (Russia) driven by Rodion Skityaev.
After all 3 previously released and well acclaimed albums this talented electro-industrial band returned with a renewed visions of their unique approaches to electro sound.
Lett he band speaks:
My music is inspired by a large pool of musicians and other media pieces; I’d like to use an umbrella term “industrial music”, describing my sound. To be more precise, I’d say that I borrow mainly from late 80-s, early 90-s era of that kind of music. Ministry, Skinny Puppy, FLA, Nine Inch Nails, stuff like that was my main inspiration. You could say that Outpost 11 invokes some sort of nostalgia for that period and you would be right. I grew up listening to that kind music, it’s etched deeply in my mind and it was natural for me

„Outpost11 claims to be inspired by the earlier work of bands like NIN, Skinny Puppy, FLA ao. I think there’s an explicit sound link with the 90s electronic music reminding me of bands such as X Marks The Pedwalk and early Skinny Puppy. The songs are mixing EBM and dark-electro together while a few guitar riffs are empowering some of the songs. This album is not only dark-electro minded, but also has a cool retro-like EBM touch. The guitar riffs inject some extra energy and power”

It’s not just EBM, but retro-body-music elements merged with multiple other elements. Some songs are danceable while others have something dreamy-like. Some cuts are a little bit harder and rough sounding while others are accomplished with subtle arrangements. The project has something complex and appears to be a sonic challenge!”
